Title of the subject: Methods for planning and forecasting

Learning outcomes: The subject is intended for students acquaintance with the principles and practices of planning, preparation of strategic, operational plans and production schedules, with calculation of capacity possibilities and all is linked with forecasting. To point out to the particular forecasting methods, the basic classification and their use in practice on the practical application and to become familiar with software tools appropriate for statistical evaluation and forecasting.
Brief content of course: - The planning system of a company. - Order logistics of a company. - Strategic planning, operational planning, capacity planning and production scheduling. - Forecasting methods, basic division. - Quantitative (objective, statistical) methods. - Qualitative (subjective) methods. - Practical cases and applications. - Current and new trends in the forecasts. - The use of modern software tools for forecasting.
