Title of the subject: Multidimensional statistical methods

Semester_of_study (WT – winter/ST – summer): WT, ST

Learning outcomes: The student will acquire theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the area of multivariate statistical series. He can after initial exploratory analysis followed appropriately chosen method for reducing the number of variables, object classification, but also implement statistical process control and evaluate process capability using specialized statistical software.

Brief content of course: Multivariate statistical files: the basic characteristics of multidimensional choice, the object distance, multivariate normal distribution, parameter estimation of the population, adjustment data matrix - the missing values, the exclusion of outlier, data transformation, normality tests. Exploratory analysis of multivariate data. Multivariate comparison of two or more selections. Statistical process control for several variables: multivariate control charts, capability index for multivariate. Multivariate analysis: principal component analysis, factor analysis, canonical correlation analysis, discriminant analysis, cluster analysis.
