Title of the subject: Statistical methods

Semester_of_study (WT – winter/ST – summer): ST

Learning outcomes: The student will acquire theoretical knowledge and practical experience in processing and interpretation of quantitative data.

Brief content of course: Theory of probability Random variable - types, properties, display, meaning. The distribution of continuous and discrete random variables, the testing division. Descriptive statistics, robust statistics. Statistical inference. And interval estimation of parameters of the basic set. Hypothesis Testing - aims, principles, general procedure, interpretation. Tests outliers, the distribution of conformity, normality, conformity with the constant, the significance of differences in parameters. Analysis of variance. Analysis of relationships - the principles, objectives and traceability relationship between two or more variables, regression and correlation analysis. Linear and nonlinear regression models, selection of the most suitable type of regression model for the processed data, computational logic and appropriateness, interpretation and graphic presentation. Time series analysis - trend, seasonal, cyclical and random component, the correlation time series.
