Title of the subject: Theory of decision making

Semester_of_study (WT – winter/ST – summer): WT, ST

Learning outcomes: Students will learn how to use exact methods for making decisions under various conditions.

Brief content of course: Introduction, basic pillars of the decision theory, formulation of decision problems. Introduction to the matrix games (game theory), solving matrix games with pure and mixed strategies. Decision tables - decision making under perfect information and under uncertainity. Decision trees - one level decision making, multiple level decision making. Conditional probability (using the additional information for decision making). Linear programming - graphical method, solving practical problems. Graph theory. Solving decision problems using the tools from graph theory.
