Learning outcomes: The student is familiar with the requirements of international standard ISO 9001 for quality management system, understand the importance of each principles, understand pyramid documentation for QMS, can create a process map of the organization and processes cards. Recognizes the importance of continuous improvement of the QMS and can apply the recommendations of ISO 9004 in the organization. The student is able to use ISO standards of 10000 series. Can explain the specifics of the application QMS based on sectoral standards in various areas, such as. in the car industry. He knows the principles of TQM, can apply self-assessment based on the EFQM Excellence Model and Model CAF.
Brief content of course: Quality management system - definition, motivation, effects, activities. Possibilities of QMS building. Building QMS according to ISO standards - a process, development, process model - 4 basic principles and the eight quality management principles (customer focus, leadership, involvement of people, process approach, system approach to management, continual improvement, mutually beneficial supplier relations). Stages of QMS building. Processes map, process cards, ownership of the process, internal and external suppliers and customers. The principles and types of audits. Economics of quality, cost models for quality. Organization of the SMK (formal and informal structures), resources, constraints in building. Certification - basic procedure, certification of QMS, products, personnel. Notification, accreditation, European accreditation policy, global approach for certification and testing.
