I am very pleased to share my experiences in Košice. This charming city in Slovakia offered me so much in terms of both culture and friendly people. Although Košice is a small city, it has a unique charm. While it may not offer the multitude of activities found in larger cities, the ESN Košice team ensured that every day was filled with exciting events. I would especially like to thank Blaskova Michaela and Zaneta Fabriciova for their support and kindness, which made me feel at home and made my adaptation process much easier. I am deeply grateful for all the assistance they provided during my time here.
My 4.5-month stay as a PhD student at the Technical University of Košice was academically enriching. Under the guidance of my advisor, Dear Assoc. Prof. Marianna Siničáková, I was able to conduct my research in a highly supportive environment that fostered both my academic and personal growth. The academic setting, with its facilities and research opportunities, was ideal for my development.
In addition to the academic experience, living in Košice was unforgettable. Thanks to the ESN Košice team, we had a vibrant and dynamic period filled with various events, including cultural activities and city tours. These programs not only allowed me to learn more about Slovak culture but also to build lasting friendships with other international students.
Returning to Košice as an academic for a week was a completely different experience for me. It offered a unique perspective compared to my previous student experience, and I am grateful for this opportunity. The warm and peaceful atmosphere of the city made my stay truly enjoyable.
Throughout my time in Košice, I gained valuable experiences both academically and personally. Despite being a small city, Košice provided a welcoming environment and a wide range of activities that made me feel right at home. If I have the chance to return to Košice in the future, I would be delighted to revisit this wonderful city and reconnect with the people I met and the experiences I had.
